FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Eligibility for the Legal Business award programmes (Master of Legal Business, Graduate Diploma, and Graduate Certificates) is open to all professionals within the legal services industry, with or without a law degree. However, the specific requirements are as follows:

  1. An undergraduate law degree; or
  2. Any undergraduate degree with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in the legal services industry; or
  3. A minimum of five years of relevant work experience in the legal services industry.

For applicants relying on work experience (without a law degree), each application is assessed individually. You must submit a personal statement along with supporting documentation that includes:

  • Duration and type of work experience, along with the current work environment
  • Relevance of the work experience to the course content
  • Evidence that the work experience is equivalent to an undergraduate degree
  • Documentation of any professional certifications or short courses completed, and demonstration of the capacity to undertake research, learn, and be assessed at the required academic level

No, payment for the entire course is not due when applying. You pay prior to the commencement of each subject you are enrolled in.

FEE-HELP is a loan scheme that helps eligible fee-paying students pay all or part of their tuition fees. FEE-HELP may be available to eligible students.

The College is an approved Higher Education Provider (HEP) under the Higher Education Support Act 2003. Therefore, if you meet the Commonwealth’s FEE-HELP eligibility criteria, you can apply for a FEE-HELP loan. Find out more by reading the FEE-HELP Information Booklet.
