New rules from the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB) NSW require students to attend 15 days of on-campus workshops for Practical Legal Training (PLT), unless you qualify for special circumstances or have a disability.
If you do, you can request to attend online workshops instead. The College offers several courses throughout the year with this option.

Yes, unless you’re enrolled in the Attendance Exemption Course, all students must attend 15 days' on-campus workshops. These workshops are a required part of PLT under the new mandatory LPAB regulations and are designed to help you build practical, hands-on legal skills.
If you miss any workshop days, you’ll need to make them up at another time. This can delay your course, and in some cases, you may need to repeat subjects or transfer to a later intake.
You can still complete your PLT by enrolling in one of our NSW courses that include 15 days' on-campus workshops.
These courses are available in Sydney, Parramatta, Armidale, Wollongong, Lismore, and Coffs Harbour, and combine flexible online study with practical, face-to-face learning.
You can choose the workshop format that best fits your schedule:
If you’re not eligible for the Attendance Exemption course but are worried about attending the 15 days' workshops, please reach out to us before applying.
Our team can talk through your situation, explore your study options, and help you find a solution, whether that’s a different course location, timing, or study format.

No, if you’re enrolled in the Attendance Exemption Course, you won’t need to attend the 15 days' on-campus workshops.
Instead, you’ll join five days of online workshops, where participation is mandatory. These sessions are designed to help you build confidence and practical skills in a supportive, interactive environment, all from home.
You’ll still connect with your facilitator and classmates, take part in hands-on activities, and get the same guidance and feedback as students attending in person.
The criteria for attendance exemptions are set by the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB), which oversees PLT in New South Wales.
All PLT providers follow the same guidelines, and the College applies them fairly and consistently with flexible options to suit your lifestyle.
