The Essential Guide to Migration Practice

Date & time: 27 March 2026, 9.00am to 4.30pm AEDT

Migration law remains one of Australia’s most intricate and fast-changing practice areas. With ongoing legislative updates, shifting visa criteria and increasing scrutiny across tribunals and courts, practitioners need a clear, practical foundation across the full spectrum of migration work.

Ross Ahmadazi, Principal Solicitor, Crystal Migration will provide you with an essential guide - from core legislation and skilled visas through to appeals, advocacy and ethical obligations.

Throughout the day, you will explore:

  • Understanding the Migration Act, Regulations and PAM
  • Skilled visa frameworks and practical application steps
  • Employer sponsorship pathways and PR transitions
  • Effective research skills for migration practitioners
  • Advocacy techniques for AAT and FCC matters
  • Ethical duties in migration decision-making

The program concludes with a focused ethics session, ensuring participants leave with a well-rounded grasp of both technical and professional responsibilities.

At the end of this program, you will earn 6 CPD points.
